Golden Axed is a beat 'em up video game. Earlier this decade, SEGA Studios Australia worked on the Golden Axe reboot. Unfortunately, in 2013, the doors of SEGA Studios Australia were closed, and, due to this, the project was lost in the annals of video game history. Until now. To celebrate its 60th anniversary, SEGA is releasing as a special gift a working prototype of the Golden Axe Reborn, a single level created as what is known in the industry as a "vertical slice". Golden Axed offers a glimpse into the future of a project that may have been released.
